Simple Pleasures Part Deux

I was perusing the blogosphere and was checking in on one of my usual blog reads and saw the title was "Simple Pleasures." And I thought, hey, did he steal my title? Then I see I was tagged by my friend Aaron to list the top five simple pleasures I like most. And I will be nice because of the busy time of the year and just say if you want to participate, please feel free, I will not "tag" anyone.

My five simple pleasures:

1. Falling asleep with a cat close by that is purring
2. Sitting by a fire
3. Doing something nice for someone (even something really small) and they act like you've just given them the world
4. Doing something "out of character" and finding out it was pretty fun
5. An impromtu gathering of friends that turns out to be a blow out party!

Here's wishing everyone their "simple pleasures" this weekend!

Instead of doing a whole 'nuther blog on this, I'll just list mine here.

1. When a girl smiles at me for no reason.
2. A really really really good cup of coffee (impossible to buy around here.)
3. That moment when I wake up and my bed is all warm and comfy.
4. That feeling when the words just start coming in a story
5. When I check my blog and someone has posted on it :D

I like waking up in the middle of the night, feeling like I've been asleep for hours, and realizing it's only 1 AM.

i want to do this....
1. thinking you are really gonna fuck something up, and it turns out to be something great.
2. my baby girl still coming to curl up with me and purr me to sleep, even though she has done it every day for over 19 years.
3. friends who teach you things and don't even realize it.
4. my father telling me he loves me and is proud of me.
5. not having to shovel out my driveway this morning because my neighbor and my husband are man enough to do that by themselves.

Ohh, I do love that feeling of realizing you have hours to sleep before you wake up.

Okay...
I've got some.
#1 Anytime I get to see or talk to my son.
#2 Sunrises or sunsets that hold yet un-named colors.
#3 Seeing older folks that still hold hands.
#4 Walking in the door and the dogs are so excited, I feel needed (but it is really the other way around)
#5 That first cold beer after work...SMOOTH!
