As part of the colloquium series on Democracy at college, the university has been presenting movies that parallel the lectures on Democracy or the lack thereof in the United States.
I went to see the movie The Corporation this weekend. If you're in the mood for something scary for Halloween, I strongly urge you to rent the movie. This movie left me wondering now what. I'm still wondering now what.

We watched "Thank You for Smoking" last night. In it, they asked the guy why he did what he did. One answer was "for the mortgage". I'd have to say that was pretty accurate. I don't do what I do because I love it. That makes me sad.
I do what I do because I enjoy my work and my corporation takes great care of me. :)
On the other hand, I'm not making harmful things...
I guess I'll see that movie. I do what I do because I like it and because it lets me do what I want when when I'm off.
I have a great job, but if I made more money at it, I'd like it better.
