有一次好的旅行

As I am writing this my sister and her husband are winding up their eleventh hour of flight on their way to China. Their flight left this afternoon and they should finally reach their destination of Beijing in the middle of the night (eastern standard time.)

This trip is particularly exciting. I don't ever plan to venture that far to the other side of the world. I just don't think I could sit on a plane for that many hours. I barely have enough patience to tolerate the plane ride home from Europe.

They'll be gone for about a week. My nephew is home from his month-long trip on the aircraft carrier so he'll be on his own for about a week. Well, unless he remembers to call me once and a while.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to survive the plane trip to India - once I decide to go. I may have to make several short journies to get there.

As much as I LOVE to travel, China is not on my list. I think that's b/c I've been exposed to so much negative press - Tibet, dog-culling when a kid died from rabies (they killed like 50,000 dogs!), and just their wacky political system make it undesirable. I didn't use to feel that way.

I've never been to Europe. I'd love to hear about your experiences there sometime. France and Italy are on our short-list for sure.

I'm glad your nephew is back. =)

Aww, is Auntie Carnealian feeling neglected? :)

I'm not sure I could do China, either. I get antsy spending twenty minutes in the Wal-Mart line.

I could definitely handle the plane ride, but the jet lag kills me!
