Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem. ~Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh

If you are an animal lover like I am, you may be interested in reading this information about the rescue operations of the animals in the states hit by the hurricane. Makes me feel a little better about things.

The SPCA in my area is taking in a lot of animals. Over the weekend they had an 'adoption special' for animals already in their shelters. I thought about it, but my house is full with two dogs as it is. :(

I know, I'd like to take more animals but the wrath of Mr. Kitzer would not be pretty.

Seeing those animals on the news coverage breaks my heart.

I saw a story the other night about a shelter in Louisiana full of cats and dogs. Most survived by treading water for countless hours before being rescued. It did my heart good to see the many that survived. Our pets are, in the truest sense, just another part of the family. I couldn't live without my cats. Well, I could but why would I want to?
Very informative link, Carnealian. Thanks.
Have a great weekend.
