Jars of Clay

I had my first class of the new semester last night-sculpture. It's a hands on, get your hands dirty kind of class. I haven't had one of these kinds of classes in so long, it was great fun.

For our first project, she gave us an apple and a clump of clay. We had to model the clay into an exact replica of the apple. We will then make a mold and plaster cast of the apple from the clay.

We'll also be doing projects with metal and wood. We may even get to use power tools as well as sharp, pointy things for our projects! Whoo hoo!

Sounds like fun. I'm not artistic though, so my stuff looks like a 5 year old did it.

surprised if it didn't turn out phallic.

just wait until the life-scuplture class. You will have to make sure that the anatomy looks and feels like the original.

OK, first, thanks to Lass for not making any penis jokes. And second, what's up with all the penis jokes?? ;P

Penis? Did someone actually say penis?!?! I haven't heard that word for a while...Normally it is C*&$...LOL

Carnealian...You need to look me up tomorrow. We need a chat! I am long overdue! PEACE!

PS. If this apple thing was done by you, I am sure it was PERFECT! Love ya! : )

Keep the power tools away from me!
And as far as the sharp, pointy things, didn't your mother ever tell you you'll poke your eye out? ;)
Letting the mind roam does sound like fun. Enjoy it.
Have you ever hear Jars of Clay? Great band. Religious in theme and great songwriting.
It's the first thing I thought of when I read the title of the post.
