Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Today I began doing my internship at the Susquehanna Art Museum. If you go to the web site, there is still an image of the exhibit that just concluded. These pieces were done by a shaman from the Mashantucket Pequot tribe of Native American. Several of you may be familiar with Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut which is on the Pequot reservation.

I wish I had gone to see this exhibit. These pretty large images were done in yarn on a piece of wood. The images came to the shaman from a peyote induced high. The colors were spectacular!

Today as part of my work at the museum, I finished up the packing of these works as they are on their way back to the Pequot Museum in Connecticut.

The new installation is pretty much ready to go for next weeks opening. This has been such a great experience for me today. I am so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to doing a lot more work with the museum!

And the grand finale for today:

There was a huge rainbow. It had the most vivid colors in it! Wow!!

Those are beautiful. The pottery is exquisite also.

You remind me a little bit of Ross Gellar.

The SAM looks wonderful.
I'm so glad to hear you're keeping busy. The rainbow is the proverbial icing on the cake and a sure sign that better days are ahead.
Have a peaceful holiday, Carn.
