99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
I have written before about how conservative the state of Pennsylvania is. We do allow you to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, which I think they are reconsidering since the motorcycle death rate has gone up since the laws changed. And recently a select few Wine and Spirit shoppes have been permitted to sell wine and liquor (insert silly liquor joke here) on a Sunday. However, up till now, you could not buy beer on a Sunday (at least at a beer distributor.) Well hold on party people! I just saw a sign on the local beer distributor that as of Sunday September 4, 2005, you can now purchase beer at the distributors! I may actually have to start drinking!

I read a few weeks back about beer distributors opening on Sundays. I thought it was just in the planning stages. It would still be nice to be able to go to the grocery store and buy a six/twelve pack whenever we wanted. Ugghhhh
OK Heather, you have us beat!! Going into the 7-11 to get beer or wine or better yet the grocery store would be AWESOME!
I've always found these laws incredibly stupid. When living out of state, I found the freedom to buy beer and wine at the Supermarket did not cause me to drink anymore than I would have otherwise.

Here in the state of Washington, you can buy beer on Sundays, you can't buy the "hard" liquor anywhere but the State run Liquor stores, and I believe they are closed on Sundays.
But Scott, can't you buy beer at like 6:00 a.m.???
In Collin County (north of Dallas) they do not sell hard liquor. You can buy beer and wine at the grocery store and 7/11 just no booze. For liquor you must drive out of the county.
